CBD 2019 Program Review
The Commercial Building Disclosure (CBD) Program Review Draft Report Release and Stakeholder Consultation 2019
In December 2018 The Hon. Angus Taylor MP, Minister for Energy and Emissions Reduction announced an Independent Review of the Commercial Building Disclosure (CBD) Program, which is being conducted by the Centre for International Economics (CIE).
The Review is examining whether the CBD Program is effective in improving the energy efficiency of commercial office buildings and the case for expansion of the Program to other high energy using commercial buildings. These include hotels and serviced apartments, office tenancies, data centres and shopping centres.
The Draft Report is now available for public consultation. CIE is holding stakeholder workshops focusing on the potentially affected sectors in Melbourne and Sydney and is inviting written feedback on the draft findings and recommendations.
