On 28 March 2025 the government assumed a Caretaker role. Information on websites maintained by the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water will be published in accordance with the Guidance on Caretaker Conventions until after the conclusion of the caretaker period.

CBD Tenancy Lighting Assessment (TLA) for Offices Rules

The TLA Rules are prescribed under the Building Energy Efficiency Disclosure Act 2010 (the BEED Act).

A TLA is only valid under the Act if it followed the TLA rules.

Only people who have received relevant training and who are CBD Accredited Assessors can perform valid assessments using the TLA Rules.

NABERS Energy and Water for Offices rating rules

A NABERS Energy for offices rating is part of a Building Energy Efficiency Certificate (BEEC).

CBD Accredited Assessors use the NABERS Energy and Water for Offices Rules to rate disclosure affected buildings or areas under the CBD Program.
