myGovID is changing to myID

As of the 12th of November 2024 myGovID will be changing to myID. It will have a new name and look – but you’ll continue to use it in the same way. When the change happens, you won’t need to do anything. You’ll still be able to: 

• continue using your existing app on your smart device 

• use the same login details and have the same identity strength 

• use it to securely access 

The change to myID, reflects the additional ways you’ll be able to use your digital ID in the future, and also aims to reduce the confusion between myGovID and myGov. To find out more, see www.myGovID.gov.au/DiscovermyID
